Shopping on the Prickly Pear web site could not be easier.  Simply browse our exciting range of leather, suede and textile bags, baskets, jewellery and accessories. 
 
When you find an item that you would like to buy, select the colour or size option you desire (if one is required), adjust the quantity and click the 'add to basket' button. 
 
When you have finished selecting items, click the link in the top right hand corner 'Shopping basket'.  Make any last changes to your selected item quantities by changing the 'Qty' field and clicking the 'Update cart' button. 
 
When you are happy with the contents of your basket, click the 'Checkout ' button.  On the 'Checkout' screen, follow the instructions at the top of the page and fill out the various fields on the form (name, address etc.). 
 
Once you have completed all the required fields, press the 'Review order' button in the bottom right hand corner of the page and make sure that all the details are correct. 
 
Now you are ready to proceed to the secure Paypal checkout page.  It is on this page that you will enter your credit card details.  Follow the instructions on the secure Paypal screens to complete the order.  After which, click the 'return to Prickly Pear web site' button so that you can retrieve your order number.

The first thing to remember is that it can take up to an hour to receive a confirmation e-mail from us.  If an hour has passed then the most likely explanation for this is that the Prickly Pear order confirmation e-mail has been filtered out by a SPAM filter.  Check your SPAM e-mails for a mail from Prickly Pear.
 
If there is no e-mail from us in your SPAM then feel free to contact us via the Prickly Pear contact form or phone us on the number at the bottom of this page.  Be sure to have your order number handy as it speeds up the process of finding your order.  Don't worry if you don't have it as we can still find your order using your post code or your name.

We work very hard at maintaining accurate stock levels to avoid customer disappointment.  We also try to ensure that we always have stock available to meet customer demand.  Sometimes though we simply cannot meet the demand for a product.  When this happens please be assured that we are working hard in the background trying to produce additional product to keep our customers happy. 
 
When we do run out of stock we will put a note on the product's web page with an estimated arrival date for additional stock, if one is known.  We are also working on introducing a button on the page that you can use in order to leave us your e-mail address and we will contact you when the stock arrives.  In the meantime please feel free to use the Prickly Pear contact page and let us know the product in which you are interested.  As soon as the stock arrives we will e-mail you to let you know.

Prickly Pear are happy to exchange or refund your purchase providing it is requested (via contacting us) within 7 days of you receiving the goods and returned to us in 'as new' condition in the original packaging.  The process is nice and simple and is explained on this page.

It will take approximately 3-5 working days for you to receive the items.  We work extremely hard on shipping orders within 24 hours of receiving them.  Often we ship on the same day

Yes, shopping online with Prickly Pear is extremely safe.  We use Paypal to handle payments as they are an industry leader in the area of credit card transaction security.  All credit card information is handled within Paypal's systems and we never see your credit card details.  The information is passed between your computer and Paypal using encryption.  This ensures that no one else can read the information during this process.

We take great care to ensure goods travel in the best possible conditions but sometimes (and it is extremely rare) accidents do occur during transit.  You need to contact us within 24 hours of receiving the goods.  Please either use the Prickly Pear contact form or the phone number at the bottom of this and every page.  You will receive a reference number for the exchange.  Please refer to the returns page for the appropriate return address. 

Unfortunately, once payment has been confirmed we are not able to cancel an order.  If, once the goods arrive, you wish to return them, please follow the returns process outlined here.

Yes, Prickly Pear does offer gift wrapping.  You can select gift wrapping at checkout.  We offer gift wrapping for all products purchased on the site including leather bags, suede bags, textile bags, kaftans, sarongs, jewellery ane beach accessories

Unfortunately no, not at this stage.  What you can do though is gift wrap an item and send it to a different address than your credit card billing address.

Yes, Prickly Pear will happily ship presents to an address different from your credit card billing address.
